The Naked Traveler

The Naked Traveler has the van on the snowy road and is looking for hot places to settle his naked buns. When the weather gets cold and snowy, what else is there to think about but nakedness? In a previous installment, we peeked at the steamy goings on in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Some were surprised to find that many of the hottest naked men can be found cavorting through the halls and in the rooms of the tubs in those places. Obviously the cities and towns of Canada offer delights that a traveling aficionado of nakedness should not miss.

This time, we’ll take a look at some of Ontario’s sauna highlights. This covers a lot of territory but, if you like Canadian men — and who doesn’t? — then it’ll be worth the cost of gas to visit as many of these as you have the naked stamina to do.

We’ll start small and look at London’s Central Spa (centralspa.com) which is conveniently located and welcoming. A person can’t say enough about this knockout of a spa. As part of a larger chain, the Central Spa has what it takes to offer a quality experience. Cleanliness is a key here. The Central Spa chain prides itself on making certain that guests are treated to a clean play space. The rooms include handsomely done bedroom suites with queen, double, or king-sized beds. Now that’s unique. Rooms have mirrors and a small locker. In addition to the basic rooms (which are more than basic), you can also get video rooms, double rooms, or double rooms with video or with video facilities and a sling. Of course there are lockers, if you really want to go basic.

With the requisite dry sauna and steam rooms, Central Spa offers private nooks and crannies and nicely done showers. There are also two areas where you can enjoy some naked fun: The Junction has a pool table, drinks, all male movies running, food, and men. Also part of the Central Spa experience is Buck Naked, which also features pool, food, and movies but includes a dance floor. And let’s not forget men.

Of course, close by is Toronto, the iconic gay city with tons of delicious men just ready and waiting for you. Of course, they’re naked and friendly. And when you track them down to their favorite sauna, well, then, you’ll be in for a flesh fest.

Since we visited the Central Spa in London, its sister spa in Toronto is worth a look. Rooms at Central Spa (centralspa.com) include the single bed rooms with locker, or TV rooms with a bigger bed and a personal video feed. For size queens, there’s the Deluxe Room with a full size double bed, a leather sling and TV. The deluxe also has a window looking onto the main hallway (use your imaginations and have some fun). This branch of the Central Spa has three lounge areas. The front lounge features leather couches and a big-screen TV. Free Internet access is provided in this lounge as well as a vending machine for snacks and a non-alcoholic wet bar. The center lounge was recently expanded and is now a large play area. It also features small beds and the only lighting is provided by two video monitors running XXX videos. In the middle of this lounge is an elevated platform attached to four private booths big enough for two. The rear lounge (get your minds out of the gutter) features continuous play all-male videos. It’s dark and contains only a 12' x 6' oversized vinyl bed where you can stretch out and enjoy the video feed or make your own live porn.

The Club Toronto (clubtoronto.com), another chain entry, is housed in a beautiful old four story building with stained glass windows and crystal chandeliers. There are TV lounges on every floor, playrooms, a bubbling whirlpool, a cedar lined sauna, and a wonderful steam room. A sling room, and a cell block where you can play out your prison sex fantasies make this club a play space you won’t want to miss. An outdoor pool for good-weather fun completes the place. With a free Sunday Brunch all year (and a free BBQ in summer months) this is the place to get naked.

Hold onto your hats (you can leave everything else behind) when you visit Spa Excess (spaexcess.com). You’re in for a rollicking good time. It’s a flashy, sexy, bare-assed wonderful place and you certainly won't want to miss this experience. From the twelve-man whirlpool with its columns and tiled floors, to the sleek lounges and locker rooms, to the bar (with its cute, friendly staff) to the well appointed rooms, the Excess treats its members and guests as they should be treated. The gym facilities and the sophisticated atmosphere will draw you back once you visit this spa.

Here’s another reason to make more frequent visits to this pearl of the North Country: Toronto’s Steamworks (steamworksonline.com/toronto/toronto.html) another rip-roaring, sexually sleek, hot place to go naked. There’s a modern metal-glass-tile look to the place which has a sexy edge that must be experienced. Every detail of the layout was given attention, so that when you enter an area, you are taken aback by the stark beauty of the place, from the pool and showers to even the locker rooms and stairs, this place was given an appealing look. A great workout area with lots of equipment is well-used. The rooms are made for pleasure as is just about everything else in Steamworks.

Toronto has a few other saunas but some aspects of the scene change quickly and you need to check the sites to make sure your destination is still there. The Cellar is dark and raunchy. It’s not your typical bathhouse experience but if you’re only looking for one thing, this is the place to go. Of course, it’s dark and you have to be comfortable with not seeing the naked guy you’re with. Then there’s GI Joe’s (formerly The St. Marc’s); it is small, clean and offers everything you might want in a day at a sauna. With lots of rooms and men, what else do you need?
